Agency Tool Company
Reliable infrastructure to build, deploy and manage real-world robots.
About Agency Tool Company
Agency Tool Company ships software to robots in the field 20x faster than a Docker pull with ATC Deploy, sending only the bytes that changed and resuming when the network drops. Deployment tooling is the connection between the lab & the field that continually bottlenecks robotics scaling and lacks a strong robotics-native solution. Deploy is live today with 3 launch partners across ag, construction, and logistics robotics. Our second product, ATC Build, offers embedded-compute as a CI service so devs can run tests and validate their software on the actual target hardware. Build supports the Nvidia Jetson lineup, Raspberry Pi, and a number of other embedded platform targets. Jack Morrison and Davis Foster founded and sold Scythe Robotics after deploying hundreds of autonomous mowers across the country; Agency Tool Company is building the robotics deployment platform across hardware and software they wish they had. Robotics and Physical AI are hot again, but we’re still in the “1997 internet” era: every new entrant is playing on hard mode.
Robotics and Physical AI are hot again, but we’re still in the “1997 internet” era: every new entrant is playing on hard mode. At Scythe Robotics, we spent eight years going from idea to scaling nationwide robot deployments. We learned the hard way how much still has to be...

Robots aren’t cloud servers.
Robots aren’t cloud servers. Shipping software to them shouldn’t mean brittle scripts, failed downloads, or late-night SSH sessions. Today we're unveiling Agency Tool Company to fix this.

People keep asking why, if I could raise money again on my own, Agency Tool Co still chose to give up the equity and join @ycombinator S26, esp bc we're not just B2B SaaS! @davistfoster and I had 5 reasons YC was a must 🧵

Big news: we've raised $42M to accelerate deployments of our all-electric, fully-autonomous mower and begin chipping away at our 7500+ unit reservation backlog.

Strong evidence that coding agents will actually improve security dramatically by default: my Claude Code running through my issue backlog caught the Rust crate hijacking in action from first principles, including the yanking trick that forced updating.

Robotics will become the biggest industry of all time.
Robotics will become the biggest industry of all time. The last 3 years of progress have brought the timeline forward. But robotics cos are all still bottlenecked by the volume of hardened infrastructure and tooling they need to build from scratch We’re here to change that.
