Nicholas Donahue is listed as a founder of Drafted. Drafted is building multimodal generative models for residential architecture and spatial design. The product allows users to design homes by combining sketches and direct spatial input to generate coherent floor plans and elevations that can be explored in both 2D and 3D. Users can define footprints, lot boundaries, room placement, relationships, room programs, and square footage constraints that persist across generations and iterative design exploration, then export CAD, PDF, and other files into the rest of the home design and construction process. More info on the company: ⁃ In the past month, we've had 120k users come to the site, generating 325k+ floor plans through socials and word-of-mouth. ⁃ A team of 9, made up of researchers from Stanford, Autodesk, Brown, Adobe, and Architects from WeWork, Atmos, and design families ⁃ Raised $17.5M from investors such as Buckley Ventures (Josh Buckley), YC (Aaron Epstein), Patrick Collison, Evan Moore, Convective Capital (Bill Clerico), Ben Silbermann, Jack Altman, Samsung, Starship Ventures, Charlie Songhurst, Ryan Tedder, Moses Moody, Alex Blania, and Kevin Mahaffey

A few years ago, I was helping people design and build custom homes. I expected the hard part to be construction. Instead, I became obsessed with something that happened much earlier. People had questions about what was possible, but getting answers often required weeks or Show more Quote Drafted @DraftedAI · May 29 1/4 Most people spend their lives living in buildings they had little influence over. We believe AI can help change that. Over the last month, 120,000 people generated 325,000+ home designs with http:// Drafted.ai Today, we're excited to share that we've raised a $16M 0:09 / 0:40

This looks like a Teenage Engineering level product. Super slick design.

It's crazy how such a simple change to the roof can make the home feel so different.

Our generations are about to be fast as fuck. I just watched our new setup generate 60 house plans in ~2 seconds.

I love building AI models because it takes a lot of grit to stick through it. The early versions suck. Users at first are like, "what is this?" Then it gets better and better. Now I get on a user interview to watch the shock as they realize AI in architecture is here.
