About Riften
Riften is a drop-in replacement for OpenAI and Anthropic APIs. Change one env var. We route each request to the cheapest model that can handle it, including open-weight models we host. Customers cut inference cost before any training begins. Because Riften sits in the request path, real tasks and their outcomes become training data the company controls. We use that to post-train private models on open weights around recurring work. Those models earn production traffic by matching the APIs they replace. Over time, frontier APIs handle only the tasks that still require them. The rest runs on models the company owns, on infrastructure it controls.
